Important notes regarding field trips

 

  • The capacity of field trips is limited and will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Registrations to the fielt trips must happen with the registration to the conference. We hope that we can accomodate all interested persons, but we have to propose alternatives if the maximum capacity is reached. If you have doubts about available places, please contact the organizers before paying your registration.
  • Trips may be cancelled if under-subscribed. In this case we try to provide alternatives or will refund made payments.Before purchasing non-refundable travel tickets, please ask the organizers for confirmation that the trip will actually take place.
  • Several weeks prior to the excursion, you will receive information with details of the meeting points, transportation during the trip, phone number and email address of excursion leaders.
  • Proper clothing and usual accessories are needed for the excursions (i.e., mountain boots, hat, raining clothes, backpack, …).
  • Neither the organizers nor the field excursion leaders can offer insurance covering illness or injury for individuals.

  • FT 1: Late Orogenic collapse and Stephanian basins: Decazeville and Saint Perdoux (French Massif Central), Date: June 22nd- 23rd
  • FT 2: Devonian-Carboniferous successions of the Barousse Area (central Pyrenees), June, 22nd

Post-conference Field trips

  • FT 3: A geotraverse of the southern French Massif Central: from rifting of the Gondwana margin to Variscan orogeny, Date: June 27th (PM) - July 1st 
  • FT 4: Late Carboniferous and Permian geology and paleontology of the Lodève-Graissessac basin, June, 27th (PM) - July, 1st
  • FT 5: The Devonian and Carboniferous successions of the southern Montagne Noire, Date: June, 28th - June, 29th
